For the last five years I’ve been working on the design for the so-called “Michael’s Mystery Suite”, which includes the master bedroom and bathroom. The 2017 St. Jude Dream Home is located in Long Farm Village, a new high-end development in East Baton Rouge near Kleinpeter. The home boasts all the latest technology and features four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a half bath with 3,200 square feet. “Michael’s Mystery Suite” will transform the master living quarters into an all-encompassing suite of colors, textures and the unexpected. De Young Properties and Michael Moloney are excited to collaborate on this special project which will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Newton says the home will have 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a dining room, a bonus room, a keeping room off the kitchen, and a sitting room off the main bedroom in addition to many other custom features.

NCHR partners with our vendors and sub-contractors, donating our time, materials and labor, to build a home at a fraction of the normal cost. While we are building, the St. Jude marketing team, partnering with WBTV channel 3 and 96.9 Kat Country radio will sell 22,500 raffle tickets at $100 each – raising $2.25 MILLION dollars. All of the proceeds will go to St. Jude for research and treatment of kids battling life threatening diseases. This is our 7th year and we are so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing campaign. Once again God is doing amazing things throughout this campaign and we are blessed to have the chance to glorify Him through this work, “for such a time as this”. Because of your support we are getting closer to a world without pediatric cancer.

St. Jude changes lives of children every day, both with the treatment they provide at no cost to their patients and with the research they freely share with other hospitals all over the world. The St. Jude Dream Home is an incredible opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives.

Upon entry, you arrive to an open foyer where a massive, french-door study and quaint dining area rest. Also, a large laundry room and mud room sit outside the garage entry. Further into the home is the gorgeous kitchen, complete with a large center island, granite countertops, a farmhouse sink, and stainless steel appliances.
What’s more, it’s also very easy to clean, so I think it will be perfect for whoever moves into this home. I simply adore the industrial look that is becoming more and more popular. I wanted the master bathroom in particular to really reflect that style. I originally wanted to use aerated concrete for the master bathroom vanity, but then I came across Silestone Cemento Spa. In addition to being durable, it truly captured the look I was going for so it was a very easy choice.
This year’s ticket sales will help cover treatment for six St. Jude patients. The treatments for pediatric cancer can last up to three years or more and cost on average $425,000, not including housing, travel, and food. St. Jude Dream Home in Charlotte, North Carolina, forms part of a crucial fundraising initiative for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As one of the main sponsors of this project, Cosentino collaborated by providing materials throughout the home in support of this mission to give the lucky winner the chance to live in their dream house.
